Uneven hockey skate sharpening? This service is for hockey skates that have more significant unevenness on their edges. Typically, this would apply to edges that are off by more than .004". They require a different approach, more time, and materials to correct. A hollow change could be done at this time with no additional charge. For hockey skates, we use a Commercial Sparx 3, utilizing lifts to feather the toe edge, and precision tools to ensure a correctly set hollow, even edges, and a good finish. We always deburr the blades before returning skates to the customer. During this process, we take notes and track skates to provide dependable service. If the blades require a higher price, we will always verify with you before beginning work. A 1/2" hollow is the standard for hockey skates, but other depths are available upon request. Extra hollow polishing is available upon request. Hollow pictures show the difference with the extra hollow polishing on the left skate blade.
