New Hockey Skate Sharpening
Typical for New Customers, New Hockey Skates, Hollow Changes, or Minor Corrections
Service Description
New hockey skate sharpening, whether your skates are brand new, new to you, or just new to us, it is about getting to know your skates. I will measure your current hollow and check for edge evenness first thing to understand the best approach. We do not just put them in the machine and hit go. For hockey skates, we use a Commercial Sparx 3, utilizing lifts to feather the toe edge, and precision tools to ensure a correctly set hollow, even edges, and a good finish. We always deburr the blades before returning skates to the customer. During this process, we take notes and track skates to provide dependable service. If the blades require a higher price, we will always verify with you before beginning work. A 1/2" hollow is the standard for hockey skates, but other depths are available upon request. Extra hollow polishing is available upon request. Hollow pictures show the difference with the extra hollow polishing on the left skate blade.
